Julie Maxwell
Julie joined Atteys in 2002 at the age of 17 as trainee conveyancing legal secretary, after leaving an apprenticeship at the Council because she didn’t enjoy the monotony of the position she was being trained for.
Julie remained with Atteys until the firm closed in 2013 when then worked as a commercial/conveyancing secretary for Crombie Wilkinson in York for a year.
Julie then re-joined many of the Atteys conveyancing team here at Taylor Bracewell in 2014 and started working as Richard Ellis’ assistant in residential conveyancing.
What area of law do you work in?
I have worked in residential conveyancing for all my career with a few dabbles in commercial conveyancing and matrimonial when the residential market crashed in the mid-2000s.
I have 17 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing.

The friendly, relaxed nature of the team with everyone helping each other out where possible.
What is the best part of your job?
Best part of the job is getting Clients to completion with their sales, purchases and remortgages – they are not always straight forward and can be stressful for Clients!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy going to live music gigs, travelling, rugby league.
