Richard joined the firm on the 18th October 2021 as our new head of employment!

Richard previously worked for a well-known law firm in Sheffield but decided to start a career with another Law firm in the heart of Doncaster. Richard is based at our Railway Court Office, which is located just on the outskirts of the Doncaster city centre.

The number of years I have worked in this field…

I started practising law in 2007, however, it wasn't until 2012 when I officially became an Employment Solicitor. Since 2012 I have progressed up the working ladder for almost 7 years which has earned me the title of Head of Employment Law. 

The main reason I got into Law is…

I initially got into law as I wanted to change the world, which may seem a little daunting to some! I have always had that "helping hand" attitude hence I wanted to go into a career in which I could do just that! 

Being an employment solicitor not only allows me to help the general public with their employment issues, but it allows me to provide a high standard of service where all clients can feel comfortable and welcoming during their sometimes stressful and worrying times.

The best part about working at Taylor Bracewell is the welcoming factor, I joined Taylor Bracewell on the 18th October 2021 and ever since my first day, all the staff have been so welcoming and accommodating. Joining the firm as the new "Head of Employment Law" I felt like I had big shoes to fill. However, with the support of others around me, I feel much more comfortable!

Outside of work I enjoy…

In my spare time, I love to cook meals for my family and friends. On the weekends I enjoying hiking, keeping myself fit and healthy, even though sometimes my feet regret it afterwards!
