Sharon McKie Joins Taylor Bracewell as Head of Family Law

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Sharon McKie as our Head of Family Law.

A Doncaster native, Sharon attended Liverpool University to complete her Law degree before moving back to Doncaster and attending law school in York.

Sharon has strong ties and a great fondness for Doncaster which lead her to start her legal career in her hometown. Sharon joined Atteys Solicitors as a trainee in 1997 before qualifying as a solicitor in 1999 in their family department. Sharon excelled in her field becoming a Partner in 2006 and continued to work there until it closed in 2013. Upon the closure, Sharon stayed local and worked for another firm in Doncaster before joining Taylor Bracewell as Head of our Family Department.

Sharon has gained the utmost respect in her field and specialises in complex financial matters arising out of a divorce. This includes dealing with farms, businesses, offshore assets and trusts. Sharon has great expertise in cohabitee disputes including issuing proceedings (often dealt with by civil solicitors). Sharon can also help with advising and drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements as well as schedule one applications including Court of Appeal cases.

Having worked for so long in the area and with her ‘client first’ approach Sharon has built and maintained an excellent reputation not only with clients but also with other professionals with whom she works closely with including local financial advisors, surveyors and accountants.
