Powers of Attorney / Court of Protection Fees

What is a power of attorney?

A power of attorney is a document that enables someone else to act on your behalf and make decisions for you if you are unable to do so yourself. This may be because you are mentally or physically incapable of acting.

If someone you love has lost mental capacity, you may want to step in to assist in running their affairs. If they have not made a power of attorney giving you this authority, then you would have to consider making an application to the Court of Protection.

We can help you with any of the following:

Power of Attorney issues

General Powers of Attorney

  • Enduring power of attorney.
  • Lasting power of attorney for property and financial affairs.
  • Lasting power of attorney for health and welfare.
  • Business power of attorney.

Court of Protection issues:

  • Deputyship orders.
  • Trustee Act orders.
  • Statutory will applications.
  • Brain injury patients.

At Taylor Bracewell, we feel it is important that you are aware of the different costs you may face throughout a matter – not just our costs but also any external costs such as searches or court fees.
