How long does it take to complete a business lease?

It very much depends on the circumstances. Taking a lease is like a negotiation between both the landlord and its solicitors and the tenants and solicitors and it depends on all the parties involved in the transaction to be able to get it through quickly. There are also things to think about and consider, it might be that you haven’t completely agreed all the other terms of the lease and that might delay things. Or if you’re putting in place property searches, which are always advised, again there is a lead time for the property searches to be carried out. So on average, you’re looking at least about six weeks for a business lease but it could be longer.
