Pride Month runs the entirety of June in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community often referred to just as ‘Pride’. Pride is all about teaching tolerance, education in pride history and the fight for equal rights.
Pride is often seen as a time when everyone comes together in love and friendship to celebrate how far LGBTQ+ rights have come and to continue the fight in making changes to ensure full equality.
Is Pride an event?
Pride Month is not necessarily an event, however, cities across the UK often host pride events to show their support for the cause! This allows for not only members of the LGBTQ+ community to get together but for anyone in the general public to show their support.
At Pride events, there are often performances by local acts, drag queens and bands, local food stalls and places to have a drink. Not forgetting pride parades which are fun to watch!
Do we support Pride Month?
Taylor Bracewell are fully supportive of pride month. As a law firm, we think it’s essential to fight for equal rights for all members of the public. No matter their gender or sexuality.
Law’s affecting the LGBTQ+ community have come a long way and for the better!
