Lasting Powers of Attorney, the perfect gift for any family
29 December 2022
Looking for the perfect gift for your family (and yourself) then Lasting Powers of Attorney may be the perfect gift. Many people assume that if they become ill and unable to make decisions for themselves then a member of their family will automatically be able to make these decisions for them. However, this isn’t true unless there are Lasting Powers of Attorney in place.
There are two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney which all allow your Attorneys to do different things. These include:
Lasting Power of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs
This Lasting Power of Attorney allows your Attorney to deal with your property or finances if you are unable to do so. This may be due to your mental and physical capabilities. The Attorney will be able to manage all aspects of your property and finances, this may include mortgages, bills and debts.
Lasting Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare
This Lasting Power of Attorney allows your Attorney to deal with your Health and Welfare. This may be due to an illness or accident which requires someone to make a medical decision on your behalf if you are unable to make that decision yourself.
We believe that Lasting Powers of Attorney are a perfect gift for any family this Christmas. It gives families the peace of mind that parents, siblings or grandparents are being cared for.
