What are my rights if I have an accident at work?

Whenever anybody has an accident at work entitlement compensation is subject to being able to show that your employer or somebody you work with was either negligent or they breached the statutory duty that they owed to you. If you can establish that there has been negligence and or breach of statutory duty, then we would look to secure compensation on your behalf.
In relation to your rights at work if you have been injured either at work or elsewhere your employer has a duty to ensure that you are reasonably safe in the environment that you’re working in, if because of your injury you are not reasonably safe or you pose a risk to others because of your injury then your employer should look to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that everybody is able to work in their workplace as safe as they possibly can. Furthermore, if as a consequence of any injury that you have suffered in work or outside of work, you are required to take time off work then it’s in your employer’s best interest to do whatever they can by way of rehabilitation or additional training or additional resources to get you back into work as soon as they possibly can because that will be in their interest as much as yours.
Here at Taylor Bracewell, we will not only work with you to ensure that you get the maximum compensation that you can but we will also liaise with your employers to see what we can do to help you and them.
