Do I need to go to University to be a lawyer?

In the modern era there are many different ways to becoming a Lawyer and Taylor Bracewell are proud to have an eclectic mix of lawyers within the firm.

Many of our lawyers have taken the traditional route to becoming a solicitor. They have completed a Law Degree and post graduate qualifications then taking up a two year training contract with qualification as a solicitor at the end of their two year training contract.

As well as Solicitors the firm has a strong number of Chartered Legal Executives.  Our lawyers undertaking their CILEx training do so whilst gaining invaluable practicable experience as assistants and fee earners in departments throughout the firm. 

Our CEO qualified as a Legal Executive and continued to study by correspondence and eventually qualified as a Solicitor.

Some of our Partners and Senior Lawyers started as Office Juniors before progressing to their more senior status.  We are very proud to have the very best Lawyers within South Yorkshire practicing from our Sheffield and Doncaster offices.

Taylor Bracewell promotes and encourages all our staff to progress within the firm and provides practical and financial support to staff undertaking additional training and studying.
