21 November 2024
If you are suffering from domestic abuse or know someone who is and you want to help, there are services in Doncaster who can help.
The domestic abuse hub supports couples in any relationship. Support is available for anyone being abused by a partner or ex-partner or family member. The domestic abuse workers can support anyone over the age of 16 and will help with emotional and practical support. They can also support family members.
For more information you can visit Domestic abuse – Support for victims – City of Doncaster Council
You can also call on 01302 737080 or email dahub@doncaster.gov.uk.
Stalking is a criminal offence and if you are experiencing this, you should seek help from the police who will take it seriously.
You can call the National Stalking Helpline on 0808 802 0300 for more information. You can also contact the local hub referred to above.
Alcohol can sometimes play a part in domestic abuse. It may be that you or someone you know needs help to overcome issues with alcohol misuse. Help is available from Inspire to Change and Alcohol support via the NHS.
